Robert Ellis Estate Agents donate money to fund Fairfield Spencer Academy’s student discos
The local estate agent provided £275 to put on the popular discos as part of their campaign to support local schools.
Robert Ellis Estate Agents donated £275 to Fairfield Spencer Academy after a serendipitous business opportunity left them with the opportunity to support local schools.
The estate agency recently received a call from ITV, who was in need of a house in the Nottingham area to use as a film set. They set the film crew up with a suitable location, and the property owner (himself an alumnus of Fairfield) offered to split the cheque—as long as Robert Ellis used their portion to give back to the community.
Fairfield Spencer Academy is now the third school that the agency has supported, providing funds that address specific needs within the schools. Their gift will go toward funding school discos, which the children absolutely love.
“I really enjoyed all the dancing,” said one young man; other children mentioned the fun they had with the foam machine and big bouncy balls. A young lady expressed, “It was lovely to have all the children and staff together having a lovely time.”
Senior Valuer for Robert Ellis Estate Agents Nathan Henshaw, whose wife is a Fairfield alumnus and whose children currently attend the school, said, “We are delighted to offer our support to Fairfield Spencer Academy with a donation to help support the school disco. The school is close to my heart, with my own children attending, and it’s an ideal opportunity for a local business—operating in the town for over 30 years—to show our support for the school. Speaking to some of the children, it was nice to hear how much they enjoyed the disco.”
Director of Primaries Angela O’Brien, OBE said, “We are so grateful to Robert Ellis Estate Agents for their generosity. The Stapleford community is filled with supportive, thoughtful people and we celebrate every chance we have to build connections and grow young citizens that lead with kindness.”
