About Us

Spencer Academies Trust is a non-profit charitable company limited by guarantee based in the East Midlands and operating in Nottingham City, Nottinghamshire, Derby City, Derbyshire, and Leicestershire. The Trust's purpose is to work with and support schools to provide the highest possible quality of education and deliver the best possible outcomes for young people. Building on the existing strengths in schools our school improvement work is focused on rapid and sustainable educational transformation. 

The Trust was formed in 2011 when George Spencer Foundation School and Technology College converted to academy status. Today the Trust educates over 18000 students between the ages of 3 to 18 across 26 academies, 18 of which are primary including 1 special school and 8 of which are secondary. The Trust academies includes schools that have been sponsored due to requiring rapid improvement and those which have selected to convert to academy status.
