Spencer Trust Choir perform at Nottingham's Albert Hall
Pupils from eight Spencer Trust Academies performed at the Albert Hall in Nottingham as part of the Spencer Trust Choir.
In collaboration with Music for Everyone and Inspire Nottinghamshire Music Hub, who are working to bridge the gap between communities and music provision for young people in schools, pupils from Chetwynd Spencer Academy, Fairfield Spencer Academy, Portland Spencer Academy, Sunnyside Spencer Academy, Glenbrook Spencer Academy, Rosecliffe Spencer Academy, Millside Spencer Academy and George Spencer Academy’s swing band put on a wonderful show for all in attendance.
Nottinghamshire Music Hub is a group of music organisations and schools working together to provide the best possible music making opportunities for children and young people in Nottinghamshire through key stages 1 to 5.
Music for Everyone is a dynamic East Midlands Arts charity organisation based in Nottingham who are committed to creating opportunities for singers and instrumentalists of all abilities to make music together and experience the exhilaration of large-scale live performances.
The event took place at Nottingham’s historical Albert Hall and was the third concert put together through the partnership.
Sunnyside Spencer Academy Principal Laurie Baczynski said “It was wonderful to see all of the Notts Spencer schools perform together. The children loved the whole experience and sang beautifully up on stage at the Albert Hall. It was an incredible evening. A huge thank you to Inspire Music and Music for Everyone."
